Our History: Born from Passion
Cabinet making is literally in our blood. Severino’s great-grandfather, Carmine Coia, emigrated to Glasgow in the early 1900s and established a cabinet-making business, counting Rio Stakis among his clients. He trained his nephew, also named Severino, who went on to achieve success in Paris and Rome. Carmine also trained his son Alfredo, who was tragically killed in Palestine during the war. Following his son’s death, Carmine closed the business and opened Coia’s Cafe on Duke Street.
Nearly 100 years later, Severino began his own journey as a cabinet maker in Glasgow. His love for high-standard craftsmanship and creating beautiful lifestyles for people’s homes drove him to develop a unique business. This business not only upholds the highest standards for residential work but also extends its expertise to the commercial sector.
